Meet Coach Seydou
Founder and Lead Skills Development Trainer of SK Basketball.

He is known for his accomplishments in France. While in high school he played for one of the top high schools and junior teams, Cholet Basket from 1998 to 2003 where he played alongside now NBA players Mickael Gelabale (Minnesota Timberwolves) and Nando DeColo (San Antonio Spurs). Seydou was one of the center pieces to the success of the team by being the leading scorer and rebounder for several seasons.
Seydou was offered the opportunity to play collegiate basketball in the US which he accepted immediately although at the time language was an obstacle. He attended and played at Broward Community college from 2004 to 2006 for Coach Bob Starkman and then attended and played at Florida Atlantic University from 2006 to 2008. He was recruited by Matt Doherty and played for Rex Walters. Shortly after arriving in the US, Seydou’s basketball career was cut short due to numerous injuries such as numerous knee surgeries, torn Achilles, and continuous health issues. However, Seydou’s passion and love for basketball would not allow these setbacks to take him out of the game.
A lot of good coaches team game strategy, but the great INSPIRE!
Being a former basketball player has helped Seydou with his knowledge of the game, but his passion for this game and his desire to always be the best, has lead him to create a program invested in building the athlete’s skills and character.
Seydou has continuously followed his goal and dream to continue to teach at the highest level by attending numerous clinics, spending countless hours in the gym, and studying the best teachers America and Europe has to offer. This helps Seydou continue to improve his craft and to ensure his clients are always exposed to the best information available.
Although his dream was to play professional basketball he now finds more enjoyment impacting the lives of players of various ages/levels by inspiring and having a genuine belief in them. He does so by teaching them the skills and work ethic necessary so that they can flourish and develop into the player they envision themselves to be!
