🎯 Opening Night: Evaluation Scrimmages — November 14th

• 10-minute scrimmages with 3-minute transitions between rounds

• Every player participates in 2 scrimmages

• Coaches evaluate skills, basketball IQ, competitiveness, and team play to create balanced teams

• Teams will be drafted following the evaluation scrimmages

• Week 1: Saturday, November 14th — Draft Night / Evaluation Scrimmages

• Week 2: Saturday, November 21st — Regular Season

• Thanksgiving Weekend: November 28th — NO GAMES

• Week 3: Saturday, December 5th — Regular Season

• Week 4: Saturday, December 12th — Regular Season

• Week 5: Saturday, December 19th — Playoffs & Championship

 

🏟 League Format

• 2 Divisions — Elementary and Middle School

• 6 teams per division

• 5 players per team

• 2 games per team, per regular-season date

• 2 baskets running at the same time

• 15-minute games with 3-minute transitions during the regular season

• Standings & seeding: Win/Loss → Head-to-Head → Point Differential

• All 6 teams advance to the playoffs

🏀 Rules

THE 3 is played using FIBA 3x3 rules — the official Olympic format of 3-on-3 basketball.

Scoring, shot clock, fouls, and possession follow FIBA 3x3 rules, while game length and league format are modified to fit THE 3 Development League structure.

Registration is limited to 6 teams per division with only 5 players per team.

Once a division reaches 30 players, registration closes.
